Flames to the Challenge is the 12th episode of (Power Rangers Operation Overdrive).
Plot[]
June is going up against her 2nd Battlers competition, where her Miraculous friends help her with her performance for her practice round, but she ends up with facing her challenge when the Fencing Class wanted to see how this goes and threatens her Badge and her friendship.
Story[]
At school, June is watching her phone and seeing about the Fire competition.
”Oh my god Phanpy I could definitely enter this competition it would be good to show off my moves as a Pokémon Battler and I hope to win Badge number 2.” June says in excitement as she looks at Phanpy.
Phanpy smiles as he looks at June as she is holding him.
As June continues watching it and the person on the screen name Flannery says she is the Battle Leader and for the 1 round it will be a round to let the battlers show their ways on communicating with Pokémon in their own way and wish them luck.
”Whoa did you hear that Phanpy I could show the field my special talent to communicate with you guys by my lovely talent is to dance and hope we can practice and speaking of Battle we better get to the stand near the school grounds for us to sign up.” June says as she is excited about this as she rushes to register while she carries Phanpy.
As she finally made it in time as she finally signs up as she signed up her talent as she looks at Phanpy and tells him they’ll practice after school as they head to class.
In his lair, Moltor heard of her next competition and planes to sabotage it so he can find a certain object.

Episode 12: Flame of the Challenge.
After 6th period was over, June is walking out of class and during passing period, she and Phanpy notice people who are dancing Before 7th period started as she comes into the crowd as she is enjoy by their dance moves with the Trainer and his Squirtle as he notice June.
”Yo, Red Ranger.” The Trainer Says as he calls to June as she is in front.
June’s Face lit up.
”Um me?” June asked as she is surprise.
The Trainer nod as June comes up.
”Yo, Red Ranger do you and your Phanpy have the skills to dance and beat me.” The Trainer Says as he looks at her.
June agrees to it.
”Alright than I accept and my name is June Hartford the Red Ranger of the Operation Overdrive Rangers And a comeback Pokemon Battler hoping to earn her second badge.” June says as looks at him filled with confidence and introducing herself.
The Trainer is impressed.
”Wow a comeback Battler well my name is Jimi and this is my Partner Squirtle And I’m sure you’ll be an excellent person to try to dance and have fun.” Jimi Says as He introduce himself to her.
June have a question.
”Um Jimi I wonder how will you have fun dancing if people judge you for your moves and see if you made a mistake and can’t seem to try again and failed his or her’s dancing tryout.” June says as she looks at him.
Jimi looks at her.
”Well June here’s something you should know stop worrying about whether or not people should care about what your moves are good or not just stop thinking about what other people see your mistakes and get back up and have fun and you need to have faith in yourself and in your Pokémon, now in order to show you the fun in dancing will do it right now, Now remember June have faith and have fun.” Jimi Says as he explains everything to June as they began their dance off.
June takes a deep breath and she lets go of Phanpy as she feels ready and takes Jimi’s advice and she begins by tapping her left foot.

As people think we should be who they told, but look at others you love and care and take their advice and be who you want to be!
”We are the people of dance royal and we don’t care what others think who we are,
So stand up, don’t fall down, as we can work together we can have some fun and be who we really are.
We’re gonna be ourselves, no matter what we do, if we can work together we can show those ones who can be better,
Jump up, make a sound Hey, stomp our feet and turned around, we will show those ones that were not to be told hey.

As the music stops, June and Jimi finished as to June surprised she saw some of her Miraculous friends clapping as she feels embarrassed by this as the bell rings and everyone heads for class.
At the Hartford‘s place, Andrew is searching for another jewel called the fire gem where its location is in a volcano called Mt. Quenia created by a gym leader name Flannery as Andrew plans to sent one of the Rangers to retrieve it. Suddenly Ronny receives a text from June.
”Uh Mr. Hartford I think it’ll be put on hold, because June text me saying that she has another Battlers Competition and it’s being held at Mt. Quenia Volcano for her to earn her 2nd badge.” Ronny Says as she answer June’s text.
Andrew seems surprise.
”Wait another contest in the volcano we’ll this could make it easy for us and for the mission since June is entering it and she also needs to find the location of the Jewel before anything went wrong.” Andrew says as he looks at her.
Ronny looks at him.
”Mr. Hartford you can’t just used June like that for the mission when she’s in a Battlers competition and I hope you don’t force her because I’ll be locking you in your home and now excuse me June sent me another text saying Aunt Ronny, I need you to call my mom and ask her to bring in Cyndaquil and Torchic for my competition.” Ronny Says as she looks at him and after Reading June’s text as she leaves the room.
After school is over, June is getting her stuff from her locker as fees extra confident for her competition as she closed her locker to her startled Marinette, Alya, and Nino were next to it.
”Um Hey Guys Well I known you guys and the others were watching me dance, and the truth is I was dancing with Phanpy for me and my Pokémon to dance for fun and also i’c enter my 2nd Pokémon Battlers Competition.” June says as she explains to the three as she feels nervous about herself dancing in front of them.
The three were excited To see her dance for her tryout as June explains to them that she’s nervous she’ll fail her competition and never earned her 2nd badge as Marinette calms June down saying that she shouldn’t feel nervous and instead listen to her heart and trust in her friends and her Pokémon and they'll all agree to help her and cheer her on in the arena and makes June feels much better about her competition.
In Moltor’s lair he is waiting for a Monster to come and his Lava lizards pulled a monster down and Moltor calls him Zhanitar as he have him an assignment for him to pick up a particular Jewel in their as Zhanitar agrees to find it as he is accompany by another monster he created and begin their search.
At the Hartford house, June and her friends arrived as Ronny came by.
”Oh good June your back um here are your two Pokémon you requested from your mother and there’s A huge surprise install for you about Torchic.” Ronny Says as she looks at June.
June realized what Ronny means.
”I think what you mean Aunt Ronny.” June says as she looks at her.
She gets her two Pokéball and then call out her Pokémon.
”Alright then Cyndaquil, Combusken come out and finally meet my new friends from the Miraculous Universe.” June says as she calls out her two Pokémon, her Cyndaquil and her newly evolved Combusken.
Alya became amaze by June’s Combusken and looks at June.
“OMG June, your Torchic have evolved into an Combusken when it was with your mom so interesting.” Alya Says as she looks at June’s Combusken as June blushes to her complement.
June smiles as she touches her Pokémon on their faces as she looks at them.
”Cyndaquil, Combusken the reason why your here is because I’m using you two for My Battlers Competition for 2 days and we’re going to do some dancing for the performance round then if we get much points will qualify for the 2nd round and we’re going to practice everyday for our fire Competition.” June says as she looks at her Pokémon with a strong smile as she feels confident on winning her second badge.
The three friends agree to help her for her competition for 2 days as June practice every day after she is finish her school work and gets back to her dancing as she finally perfects her dance moves and is ready for her Battlers competition.
In the woods, the monster named Incinerator is trying to find the gem in the volcano they have been as Zhanitar suggest that they search again until he gets what he wanted for a long time.
At the Volcano of Mt. Quena, June was sighing up for her to enter as she checks the papers and read that every participation will use Two Pokémon for the performers round and one Pokémon for the Battle Rounds, 3 Pokémon for the Quarter rounds, 6 Pokémon for the Semi-finals, And when the two battlers Face in the final round they’ll chose how many Pokémon they’ll battle.
As June finishes her paper work and gives it to the stand.
June feels really nervous about her performers round as she squeezes her Cyndaquil so hard, it‘S fire erupted on her face as June wipes the face as she looks at Cyndaquil.
”Sorry Cynda guess I gotten a little nervous for my competition I really hope Flannery likes my performance and see how much I’ve train so hard even though I’m always a Ranger I’ll always have some other time to Train and be a Battler as well and if I don’t make it to the second round there’s Always the next competition the reason I like doing this is to have fun.” June says as she talks to Cyndaquil as she happy to be in a competition.
As June enter her room for her to do her hair to get ready as she is contestant number 6 as she get ready, While on the seating stands, Marinette and her friends have intended to watch June’s battle while her teammates are busy to find the Fire jewel.
Alix looks at them with excitement.
”Mani Hope June does good with her performance and enters into the 2nd round where the battles are happening and she’ll earn her 2nd badge.” Alix Says as she is pumped for June’s performance as she looks at the others.
Nino looks at them.
”Yeah she’ll do great she’ll do good in this Battlers Competition as she did when she Battle Oceania to win her Ocean Badge.” Nino Says as he explains to them from her last competition.
Kim looks at them.
”Well I don’t know how good she’ll be at with her moves might not be good enough she might loose this round.” Kim says as he looks at them.
The others have him a hard glare as Marinette looks at him.
”I wouldn’t bet on that June practice her dancing with her Pokémon that she’s using for per performance round.” Marinette says as she looks at them.
At June’s dressing room, June is practicing as she tries to brush as she keeps on dancing when she accidentally trips over herself as her Cyndaquil accidentally uses Flamethrower on her making her hair spikey.
”Oh Cyndaquil it was just an accident and I need to get ready cause contestant number 3 is up and I need to get ready and be so extraordinary with my moves.” June says as she stands up while looking at Cyndaquil.
Someone comes near her room and calls out her name.
”Hey Flare Blitz how you doing.” Someone Says as he calls June with some nickname as he was standing next to her door.
”Huh, Flare Blitz, I only know one person who calls me that nickname, Gary.” June says as she gets a sudden shock and looks at a boy with brown spiky hair wearing a black and red cloths.
Gary chuckles as he comes in.
”It’s good to see you again June.” Gary Says as he looks at her.
June looks surprised.
”Wow Gary I haven’t seen you for almost 2 years ago, and my guess is you’ve enter the Fire Competition for the badge.” June says as she looks at him and acts in a sarcastic voice.
Gary looks at her.
”Yeah you bet I’m after you I hope you'll do good and enter the battle rounds.” Gary Says as he looks at her and then notice her hair. “here let me brush your hair for you.” Gary offers as he looks at her.
June nods in a smile as she sits down as Gary grabs a hair brush as brushes her hair. Gary decided to talk with her.
”So June how was your 2 years doing since combing back to live with your Grandfather and father in San Angeles and your friends in school been doing, I heard you been quite an adventure for you going to the Captain Marvel film, you and your friends saving The Miraculous universe, and gotten 2 Kwami’s Powers inside of you and control them.” Gary says as he talks to her while he brushes her hair.
June talks back.
”Yeah those are true and the school from the Miraculous universe is staying in our universe to learn what us Ranger can do and I’m still working on my powers sometimes some emotions and personalities from Cat Noir and Ladybug keep happening and I still work on it and I just wish I can focus on winning my 2nd badge.” June says as she answers and explains to Gary about her life.
Gary was finished brushing June’s hair as he puts a bead necklace around her head as she gets her Cyndaquil and Combusken in their Pokémon as she is up next and leaves her room.
At the Fire performance stage, Flannery announces the next contestant.
”Alright everybody, here is contestant number 6, the 3rd Generation of Operation Overdrive Power Rangers, the girl with a sense of style with Kwami Power and she is coming back from her 2 year long retirement and winning her 2nd badge and impressed everyone with her dance moves, I presented you the Red Ranger June Hartford.” Flannery Says as she announces June’s name as June enters the stage and looks at everyone with a proud smile.
June gets out her two Pokéballs.
”Cyndaquil, Combusken come on out and show everyone your moves.” June says as she calls out her Pokémon from their Pokéballs.
The two Pokémon came out in style as the bow to the audience, The music starts as the Pokémon and June were starting to dance and used their powers.

(June uses her Ladybug powers as used the flamethrower to create a red and orange ribbon on her left arm as she continued her routine as unknown to her that Adrien And Plagg we’re entering and shock to see her dancing and he then learned June entered the fire competition that Adrien was going to)

(June uses her Catylysm and Ladybug Powers on the Flames On uses them on herself and much to everyone’s surprised while she is dancing with Combusken and Cyndaquil using their moves for the finish as her Miraculous Powers fused in with the flamethrower and swift stars and her normal Res dressed into a short dress with Red and orange flamers and a swift start on The top middle, he paints are red with flames on them, and her shoes are turned into a high length on the quarter parts of her legs with red and flames on them and her haired turned into Brown with orange highlights as does her final routine)

June and her two Pokémon were finished with the routine as the whole audience clapped for an extraordinary Performance she did as Flannery let the judges put up the scores for June’s performance as to her’s and everyone she earned 101 points for her dancing and her transformation of her clothes as she and per Pokémon feel proud of them getting awesome points as she and her Pokémon walk from the stage as Gary was Call next and came up to June in the hall way.
”What an excellent Performance June 101 points and interesting score your dancing was amazing and hope you do well in your Battle round.” Gary Says as he looks at her.
June looks at him.
”You’ll do good in your Round to see if you make it into the Battle rounds as well and I will hope to battle you.” June says as she looks at him and said to him in sarcasm in hoping to battle him.
Gary agrees as the two high five each other as Gary went up as June went to her dorm room as she sits down and watch Gary performance with his Arcanine as a girl entered June’s room.
“Um, Hello, June right Your the girl that Adrien is staying with right and before you ask I’m Kagami a friend of his.” Kagami says as she introduce to June as she walks in.
June became nervous but found a little courage.
”It’s good to meet you I bet Adrien talks about me since staying with me for my Junior and Senior years at High school and why are you here.” June says and then asked as she looks at her as June rubs her left hand behind her head while looking at her nervously.
Kagami looks At June.
”I’m Part of his Fencing class that is here at the Fire Competition and all of the sudden when Adrien mention that Marinette wanted to invite him to see your 2nd Competition and to his surprised to see you here at the Fire Competition and I saw your Miraculous powers and noticed that you were in control of them and not loosing control of them.” Kagami explains to June about what Adrien said to her and mention about June’s powers loosing control.
June becomes surprise about what she said.
”Well to my logic since I invited Marinette and her friends to my competition and with them supporting me I guess it made me feel more stable then loosing control.” June says as she looks at her.
After Gary was finish he earned 89 points as June was surprised to see him passing the performance round and to her extra shock to see a boy named Cross going up and she began growing anger to her veins as Kagami sees June angry as she grabs June’s Lady Cat necklace and puts it on and cools herself down as June explains to Kagami that Marinette made it for her as a symbol of their friendship as Kagami figures that Marinette is close to June’s heart as she decided to leave for June to clam down as Marinette comes to June's Room and to her shock to see Kagami as she whispers to Marinette’s ear.
”The reason June didn't loose control of her powers because you and your friends were head to cheer for her and that makes her to hesitate she is just like you so try helping her out with her problems and have your friends to help her out.” Kagami whispers to Marinette as she is shock on what Kagami said about June as Marinette enters June room as June sees Marinette as the two hugged each other for their kindness.
Meanwhile, In the underground June’s teammates are looking for the Fire jewel.
Black Overdrive Rangers looks at Blue Overdrive Ranger.
”Find anything Presto?“ Black Overdrive Ranger says.
Blue Rangers nods his head ”no”
”I haven’t found the jewel either, Scott.” Blue Rangers Says as he looks at him as Yellow and Pink canes by and Blue Ranger said “Have you two found the Fire Jewel yet?”
”No we haven’t found it yet.” Yellow Ranger said as she looks at him.
Pink Ranger speaks as she looks at them.
”Yeah this place is like a maze and we can’t check the arena, June is having her Fire’s Battlers Competition, Aunt Ronny Says so.” Pink Ranger says as she looks at them.
Yellow Ranger agrees.
”Yeah Gia’s right, June really Needs to win her 2nd badge she’s been working so hard to earn it.” Yellow Ranger says as she looks at them.
Blue Ranger looks at them.
”Yeah and besides Marinette and her friends are here to cheer her on and is things get bad Alya will call us or better yet will live shot it from her Ladyblog.” Blue Ranger says as he looks at them.
Black Ranger give in.
”Okay Fine will continue searching for it but we’ll Not go Storm in the place and get June disqualified from it.” Black Ranger says as he looks at them.
The Others agree as they continue they’re search for the Jewel, unknown to them Inferno and Zhanitar was listening.
”Zhanitar the Fire Jewel should be in the Battlers arena and the Red Ranger is in if we can get her and her annoying Miraculous friends out of the way they’ll postpone the competition and to busy to find them and then will get the Jewel before those 4 Rangers will get to it first.” Inferno Says as he looks at Zhanitar as Zhanitar quietly agrees as he feels threatened about seeing June again as he doesn’t want Inferno know that he’s friends with her.
After the Performance round the 36 people are chosen out of 104 people and 36 people were put on top are revealed and shown that June, Gary, and Cross made it to the Battle rounds as June looks excited for her battle as her Miraculous friends cheer for her battle as June watches other trainers battle other trainers for the next round as it was June's turn as she looks at her Pokéball.
”Alright buddy I hope I can use you in my first round even if you have a disadvantage to your opponent but I have faith in you.” June says as she talks to her Pokéball as she feels proud.
At the battle arena, Flannery announces the two opponents.
”Alright people on the on the right we have Artemis Parker, and on the left we have our 3rd Generation Red Ranger June Hartford.” Flannery Says as she announces the two contestants. “Now our two Battlers know in this round you’ll only use one Pokémon and no substitution, Alright now Artemis choose your Pokémon and your opponent will choose her Pokémon against yours.”
Artemis agrees and pulls out his Pokéball.
”Alright Gowlithe, Howl and paws.” Artemis calls out to his Growlithe from his Pokéball and Growlithe comes out and stares.
June talked to herself.
”Alright Artemis is using Growlithe so that would advantage of my newest Pokémon.” June says as she observes her opponents Pokémon and gets out her Pokéball. “Alright then for my chose is my newest Pokémon Gligar.”
June calls out Gligar and to everyone surprised to see June using a ground and flying type for her match.
